The facility
Nanaimo Shipyard Ltd. is situated in Nanaimo on the east coast of Vancouver Island and has been in the same location in Newcastle Channel since the 1930s and is a full service shipyard with a marine chandlery.

Facilities

There are three marine railways with the largest being able to handle vessels up to 1000 tons and wharfside facilities up to 500' in length. For larger ships, up to 100,000 dwt and 356 meter in length, Nanaimo Shipyard uses the Esquimalt Graving Dock. The dimensions of the dock can be viewed below. Nanaimo Shipyard also carries out work at its Comox Road facility and at facilities at Duke Point.
